I have a question for you. I can see that you have passion for Ipad and C64 – these days I’m looking for an answer but no one could give me a good solution.
Would it be possible to send the S-video signal from C64 to Ipad, so you can use ipad as monitor and for sound?
Some people would say that I could use “C64C > S-video to Scart > Scart til HDMI > HDMI ipad interface > Ipad”
Your very welcome to give me the answer pr mail too 🙂
The iPad has no video input. Get an inexpensive USB video capture device and connect the video output of the Commodore 64 to its input. This will have to be composite, unless you can find one with S-video input. Install the capture software on your PC or Mac and run its live viewer software (test the video on Skype or included live capture viewer utility). Then use a remote desktop so that you can view your PC or Mac desktop (and the live capture view) on your iPad.

January 19, 2013 at 10:53pmI don’t think this will work. The iPad doesn’t have any video-in capabilities that I know of.
