My New MINI Cooper S

Last Thursday, May 11 I bid a fond farewell to my PT Cruiser that has given me almost 6 years of reliable service and transportation. In it's place is a MINI Cooper S in chili red. I couldn't stop thinking about this car after the first test drive. It really is like driving a go cart on the street. The inside is very posh with just enough retro treatments to please the eye. I look forward to driving it every day.

It performed admirably taking Jim, myself, Molly and Hazel (yes, the dogs fit too) in mini-style to Rehoboth, Bethany and Ocean View for Mother's Day weekend where we found lots of twisty, turny back roads to motor on. If you have a chance to drive one, do it.

OMG!!~ Lady gets punchz0rd in teh face!!

This video comes to us from a PTA meeting. I first saw it on MSNBC during a segment about viral video so this may be old news– new to me!

A lady is talking to another about THC in someone's system (which I gather has something to do with cannabis). The other lady moves aside a girl and lands a punch right to her face. She doesn't even stick around– just casualy walks away. Amazing!

The Banner Images, Explained

I know a lot of you look at the blog to see if there are any new banner images that have been added to page and will reload it over and over to see what comes up next. I admit it, I do it myself sometimes– it's fun.

To that end, I've added a page with all of the images with a short description of who/what/where. The link is on the right, The Banner Images.

Enjoy.

Vintage Atomic Era Print Ads

Plan59.com has a schweet collection of good condition print advertisements from the 1950's. One gallery in particular is called “Demonic Tots and Deeply Disturbing Cuisine.” Pictured left, bread is fresher in Cellophane. I'm not sure that I've been been quite that excitted over a slice of bread and jam, but what ever floats your boat.
